Sculpture On The Gulf
Sculpture on the Gulf is an initiative of the Waiheke Community Art Gallery. It is a biennial outdoor sculpture exhibition placed on a two kilometre long public walkway at Matiatia Harbour, the gateway to Waiheke Island.

The Waiheke Wine Festival
The Waiheke Island wine festival is the social highlight for wine enthusiasts from all over the country. It is an event that only happens once a year and for two days the privileged few can share the secrets of Waiheke's most exclusive wineries.

Onetangi Beach Races
Held on Onetangi Beach, 1.8 kilometres of sparkling white sand, the Onetangi beach races are a Waiheke tradition and a great family day out. The field is entirely local talent and if you have no luck on the horses you can bet on the antique tractor race instead!

Easter Weekend

The Waiheke Island Jazz Festival
Set amongst the cafes and vineyards of Waiheke Island. The festival is traditionally held at Easter and along with the crème de la crème of New Zealand jazz musicians, the festival also boasts great musicians from all over the world. A must see for the jazz enthusiast.

Everything Olive Oil Festival
Spend a weekend on Waiheke Island tasting a multitude of olive produce and Waiheke wines and food. Laze in the grounds of Rangihoua Estate and listen to the live jazz. The festival is always a popular event for locals and visitors alike.

Waiheke Garden Safari
Every Spring, people flock to Waiheke to stroll around some of the island's private gardens. The safari offers a great way to see the Island's spectacular scenery, gardens and outdoor art.

Carols by Candlelight
Spend a night out under the stars on the white-sand beach, Little Oneroa. Sing along to Christmas carols performed by a talented array of Waiheke musicians.
